Questions to the owner:

Q: Congratulations for winning Ride of the Month! Tell us about how you acquired this car?
A: I bought this car from a guy in Tampa, Fl about 4 years ago. At that time I wanted a clean low mileage GSL-SE and found this car with 63K original miles.

Q: How did you first become interested in modified cars? Have you had any previously?
A: My uncle hanging out with him he has always had a rotary car around. Hes been modifing rotarys since the 80's

Q: Whats the biggest reason you chose a rotary powered car to modify?
A: Again my uncle, he has always had a rotary of some sort.
I just grew up around them.

Q: Is this car your daily driver? Do you participate in any form of racing? (Drag, Auto-X, etc)
A: No. but i could.
Yes, drag racing, I'm not out to set any records or beat the hell out of my car but I like to run it at the track. With my old motor I went 12.9@108 on 9 psi

Q: What do you enjoy most about your car?
A: That I did everything but the engine rebuild myself. BIG THANKS TO ROTARY RESURRECTION.
The sleeper effect of the car, it still looks stock but can hold its own against newer sports cars.

Q: Do you have any future plans for the car, or any car?
A: Going to work on cleaning up the engine bay and TII brake upgrade.

Q: Any other hobbies besides cars?
A: I play basketball and take care of my 3 and 4 year old kids.

Q: Anyone you'd like to thank?
A: The wife for putting up with me and my RX-7, she hates it.

Congrats. Very nice, clean, simple, and power to play around. I had a feeling your car would win. Maybe you could pick up a pair of clear/crystal tail lights to match your turn lenses in Japan if your able to get stationed there.

^Thanks, but I still would rather have your car!

It would be nice to go overseas.
The AF is not PCSing people like before. I've been trying to leave Keesler and head overseas for 2yrs now. I guess it's due to all the cut backs.

Your car is awesome. I'm partial to the 1st gen as I had one during college. I put 226k miles on her. The enigine swap looks really clean. Congrats...well deserved!!!!!
