Descriptions and Introductions on SuperPro Performance Bushing Kit:

The Polyurethane that is specifically blended for the SuperPro product has mechanical properties that make is extremely successful in its application. The properties of extreme resistance to abrasion, low compression set, high tear strenth and a resistance to oils and solvents make it ideal fo automotive applications. These properties lead to a resilient product that is highly versatile in its applications.

The crush tubing is an integral component of the suspension bushing system and is necessary for free pivoting. The crush tubes are made to precision tolerances to ensure that the precise fits are maintained. All SuperPro tubes are made of STEEL & ZINC plated for corrosion protection and appearance. In some applications SuperPro incorporates end knurls and hardened tubes to provide positive location. As required SuperPro provides presion machined steel SHELLS to allow the installer to quickly and easily replace worn components.

When polyurethane is used to replace rubber in many suspension applications, it often has to accommodate large variances in tolerances.

Rubber is not a precision component and will compress or distort readily to allow fitment, which in turn creates binding of the bushings. This is one of the main reasons why SuperPro polyurethane is superior to rubber bushings, as they have a free pivoting point and not a torsion pivot like rubber. SuperPro had to develop a method of achieving the correct pre-loads while still accommodating a range of variances in sizes. Bullet grooves allow the bushings to flex and accept a much wider range of sizes while still maintaining free pivoting of the bushings.

We have a limited quantity in stock right now and ready to ship. We offer discounted WorldWide shipping rates. We also offer SuperPro Bushing Kits for other rotary cars (RX2, RX3, RX4, etc.) so please don't hesitate to contact us for your special orders.

POLYURETHANE ENGINE MOUNTS
Noltec are the first in Australia to release a range of polyurethane performance engine & transmission mounts for roaring 6cyl, V6 & V8 Ford & Holdens, and highly modified 4 cylinder vehicles. Utilising Noltec ‘Softride’ material, engineers have developed mounts that were extremely flexible, absorbent, robust and also restrictive. By adding a ‘gate’ design concept
to the mount, the mount locks and becomes a solid under heavy acceleration loads.
By locking, the mounts restrict torque roll and prevent further loss of power output.
All of the mounts from Noltec’s range incorporate this gate or ‘Torque Motion
Restrictor’. All mounts are proudly Australian Made and Noltec will look to expand
the range to coincide with demand.

RESTRICTS TORQUE ROLL
MINIMISING POWER
TRANSFER LOSS
BENEFITS
• Stop torque rolling
• Reduce torque steer in FWD vehicles
• Increase high performance acceleration
• Minimise damage to components
(ie. Exhaust) from excessive engine movement

TORQUE MOTION RESTRICTOR - TMR
Incorporating a ‘gate’ design concept that locks under heavy acceleration, the mount ultimately restricts the amount of torque motion resulting in the optimum torque transfer to the differential and power transfer to the wheels.

We also offer special orders on Complete Noltec Suspension Packages for all your suspension bushings for your rotary. We also offer Noltec Kits for other rotary cars (RX2, RX3, RX4, etc.) so please don't hesitate to contact us for your special orders.

It's just the angle, don't worry the noltec motor mounts you receive from us will fit your car but if you have a 93 car you must either get a 94 driver side motor mount or a 93 passenger side motor mount(remove the heat shield) in order to install the noltecs.

How does the ride quality compare to stock/rubber mounts in the context of vibration? I'd like to replace my old stock mounts at some point but I like being comfortable and not having my colon shaken like a martini.

I will ask some owners to post some of their experiences with these bushings.

mdude
03-12-2008, 03:42 PM
From other reviews i have been reading, the superpros will feel alot tighter than your old suspension unless you have already changed the bushings out. Also there doesn't seem to be any more noise. These bushings will be stiffer than the stock rubber ones but are not harsh at all.

If any other people want to comment, please do.

The FD mount is in the first pic. Subsequent pics are of mounts for earlier generation cars.

I want to buy the complete 24 piece "Superpro Performance Suspension Bushing Kit" for the FD. But I need to ask something. Since the whole suspension has to be disassembled, I want to know if there's anything else I need to improve performance while I'm in there. I noticed you offer these bushings separately...

1. Rear Upper Arms
2. Rear Differential
3. Rear Shock Absorber
4. Rear Toe Control Arms
5. Rear Trailing Arms
6. Front Steering Rack

Is this something I need or is it already in the package? What about the links themselves? Do you sell those too? I'd probably want the motor mounts too. Thanks.

JKL Racing Engineering

All the bushing you listed will be included in the full 24 piece kit and we do not have many kits left in stock so act fast while they are still available. The Noltec motor mounts GB is still active, we are currently negotiating with Noltec for a set rate, once done, we will place our restocking order.

As for suggestions, replace all pillowball bushings if not done so already and check all the arms for wear and damage. If any of them are damaged, replace them. While at it, check the sway bar bushings and mounts for wear and damage, replace necessary parts as needed.

Sorry about the late reply!

The SuperPro 24 piece complete FD3S kit is $500 USD + $50 shipping to Canada. Please add appropriate paypal fee if applicable.

The Noltec motor mounts GB is still active and we are currently working with Noltec still to settle the new rate. They wish to raise the prices due to the falling USD currency. It will take us a while to work it out with Noltec. We do not want to take any additional payments until we finalize the deal with Noltec. Thanks!

Yeah, we are down to the last couple full kits so now these are on first come first serve basis. Whoever pays first will get their kit and there will be a wait until we get the next shipment of full kits. However, we still have some rear bushings in stock.

sorry, not yet, we have been working with Noltec to hopefully come to an agreement with us. It is going to take a while since they raised their prices by a significant amount so we have to work pretty hard to try our best to bring it down. We have some confidence in this negotiation but it just needs some time. We are sorry but the US currency has been bad so we are really at a difficult position here. So we have been and will always be trying our best to bring the price down so all of us will not lose this great product for our rotary. :)

i was wondering how long does it take to install the full bushing kit? thanks

JKL Racing Engineering
08-31-2008, 01:50 AM
An experienced shop can do it in 1-2 hours depending on what tools they have available. If you do it yourself and you know what you are doing, then I would say 3-4 hours. Since you will need a press to push some of the new bushings into their housings so it might take you some extra time to get the bushings to a local machine shop that can provide you access to a press. Of course, there is always other ways to install the new bushings without a press but we recommend using a press since it is fast and easy, just need to get access to one. :)

Are the rear upper arms supposed to be adjustable? My mechanic says it doesn't make sense for our cars. Is that right?

thewird

JKL Racing Engineering
09-11-2008, 09:24 PM
The adjustable version is only available from SuperPro and it is supposed to cost extra than the regular ones. We just threw them in at no extra cost and they help you adjust camber without the need of camber adjusting bolts. The crush tube has an offset hole, so once the bolt goes through you can rotate it inwards and outwards by simply loosening it and pulling/pushing the tire. Its the same principle as the camber adjusting bolts that you would just turn, except the offset belongs to the crush tube instead of the bolt. It's much stronger than the camber adjusting bolts because those must be undersized to accommodate the offset, and they tend to snap in hard cornering because of that.

thewird
09-11-2008, 11:01 PM
Yah, he said the same thing about having to push/pull on it to adjust camber which would cost a fortune at an alignment shop according to him. Is there some other way to explain it to him? He's a little old school with the racing stuff and keeps setups as simple as possible. I've never heard of a failure on the camber adjustment bolt and mine hasn't broken in 20+ track days of solid duty either.

I can't wait until my car is ready next week and then to try these bushings at the track with some Hoosiers:willy_nilly:

thewird

JKL Racing Engineering
09-12-2008, 10:13 AM
Well, just suggest your mechanic to work with what hes got or he has to machine a new crush tube:lol:

Honestly, it is true that the camber adjustment bolts are weaker than the crush tube but the chance of the camber adjustment bolts to break is different for everyone. The bolts do break just not very common. So it is just preference when comes to choosing between the camber bolts or the eccentric crush tube. Since now you got the crush tube, might as well to ask the mechanic to work with it.

thewird
09-12-2008, 10:59 AM
Yah, he said he would make a new metal piece but to ask if this was sent in error first. I'll talk to him next time I go check up on my engine :). Thanks.

Hey Kevin, I was checking out your website...There doesn't seem to be an option to buy a full superpro bushing kit?

JKL Racing Engineering
01-09-2009, 02:52 PM
yeah, coz we are out and i believe most retailers with SuperPro kits are out as well. We have been contacting our supplier quite often lately but they said the SuperPro kits are on back order and so far no solid updates. All we got left right now is some individual bushings.

Hopefully we will have some good news soon so we can restock some of these bushings. :)
