This post is about combo lights and sleek headlights.
First, if anyone has FEED combo lights I'm looking for some info. Specifically what size bulbs the big light and the smaller clear light use. I don't see the point in getting the HID light kit if I can get the halogen kit and swap the bulbs for LED.
Now onto the headlights. I've always loved the RE-A sleek headlights but hated the idea of cutting the metal to make room for the lights. For years I've been wanting to use something different for lighting that doesn't take up so much space in depth but is still somewhat large diameter to fill the space in the bucket, and the only thing I can think of is LED lighting. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that would work at the time, but times have changed. I saw a video on youtube where a guy made a floodlight/flashlight using LED chips, lenses, water cooled heat sinks, etc. This light used 8 LEDs and pumped out 72,000 lumens. WAY more than headlights need. The good thing about these lights are that they didn't take up too much space in depth.
After looking into lenses, specifically narrow beam, and just doing some basic research, it looks as though it's best to use a reflector housing and lens together to make sure there is no spillover and it's still directed down the road. My problem is I'm still very new to all this and don't know where to get parts other than a couple places I've found online, and even then I'm not sure what would be best. So I'm wondering if there are any LED gurus here that can point me in the right direction.
