PLEASE REMEMBER RECLAIMER AUTO IS ABOUT THE LOVE OF CARS..........

That being said I am excited to announce the fd completion is the end of summer! after doing much research I have found that there has only been a first and second generation rx7 to be converted to all wheel drive. This was also done in the eighties with Audi parts and was more of a four wheel drive high set up then a actual all active all wheel drive system.

Although the rotary is new, the car is great, it's a dead world and when the irons crack as all Rew irons do, I will do this anyways. So , preemptive strike!

I am starting the first ever AWD Subaru Ej257 FD3S build.

Car:
1995 rhd rx7
Bn sports blister widebody
Works 18x13.5 rims
Pretty much everything aftermarket suspension, brakes and Apexi n1 exhaust.
Subaru wrx sti Ej257 turbo.
RayJay turbo, fmic, Hks wastegate, Hks bov, custom downpipe.
5speed with extended shift linkage.
Complete hub conversion to front.
Sub frame modified to fit Subaru front end.

This build has been choosen as the ls and 2jz is overdone and over priced. The Nissan selection is dwindling, Volvo has non desirable trans for this application, I am not knowledgeable of M series motors and I'm not a merc or Audi fan. Other motors like the small v8 ( Ford 4.6, Toyota 1uzfe Ect) were considered but trans mods and dimensions showed it to be a problem and better to go ls.

The weight ratio as well as displacement is better than stock and much better than the 2jz swap. The ls falls in the middle of it all....

700lbs 2jz with trans, 20% more weight in front of struts.

555lbs ls/t56 combo. Lighter than the stock Rew set up by 150lbs centered on struts.

387lbs Ej20 series with trans. 15% in front of struts.

I looked at hundreds of possibilities and this is the most promising. And exciting!

Tips and advise are always welcome. Follow this build on face book at

I've thought about an FD being AWD before and wondered how cool it would be, and while I like boxer engines, I LOVE the rotary. And since I figured it would cost an insane amount of money to make a rotary work with AWD, I gave up on that idea pretty quick lol.

Joe Maddox / JMClassicImports

Now Reclaimer Auto haven't you been banned under those names for bad business?

Reclaimer Auto
12-31-2014, 09:59 PM
Um.... Lol..... No, I was I'm classic imports, the name changed due to it limiting me to imports. I choose a better name. Nothing more.

Have I been banned , no. Has my business ever, no. Was my first personal rx7club (joemaddox) account banned for not signing up to be vendor, yes....

Have I built cars for over ten years and had a single bad transaction. Yes.

Has any shop with ten years under its belt have a perfect record. No.

Are we done with your wanting to talk about Jared. Yes.

Anyways. I am planning on using the entire Subaru front subframe. It will be a bit of work to fab it up but after a few mock ups it's looking like it's almost made to be!

I am planning on having the awd functioning the same as the wrx I pulled it from. I will be posting pics in a few. :)

And posting the same persons ad over and over does not make it more than the one person.

Now back to the build thread lol

Ok, so you say this user is banned . Yet here I am.

You say I'm classic imports was banned yet link a post showing they are not....

Reclaimer auto is Joe Maddox's business. It started as rotary workz, it was a name a person picked, it's also a dozen others names. It was changed. Jm classic imports had most thinking I only did imports.

It was changed to reclaimer auto. My user, joemaddox on the evil club was never in trouble for bad sales. That user got banned years before I argued with a moderator about selling through others profiles. He used Jared to win that argument by saying it would make it impossible to sell then.

You have shown zero correct facts and its clear you are just spitting out high school drama.

If Jared would like to respond here or on the comments of the video I would love to discuss the motor he abandoned.

Is it just you two on this group these days. I know that the most active site has 20k members, 5 k are actually active and only 2k own a rotary car.............. It's a dead world, but is this part of the world so dead it's just you two trolls? lol

So... have you learned how to be a mechanic yet, or are you still seizing up engines and using cooking lard as assembly lube?

chibikougan

Now you are blaming other people?

Important note about Reclaimer Auto and the rx7club.com:
To all those who stumble onto the rx7club "scammer alert" posts made there about my shop, it's as simple as this:
Chris weigel and Marc heyndericxs took credit for some of my work under the belief that they could as ownership gives them rights to. There was a falling out. They took it on to slander my shop and got the moderator (misterstyx) to make a write up on me and erase what he could of my ten years of positive feedback from the site. Note joemaddox the rx7club user name... has zero negative feedback and hundreds of smooth transactions . I could not defend as I was banned five years BEFORE this banner for not signing up to be a paying vendor on the site. I sold so much they required it. I said no and kept selling, was banned. Hard to find that as the moderators deleted most of my original profile.

It's important to note both of these men were starting rotary shops at the time they took credit and started the slander. Also that no scam has ever been presented. MOSTLY I am the only rotary shop owner that has zero lawsuits! Look at my oregon competitors and you find Marc is not innocent at all, Kurt Robertson enterprises is full of lawsuits he lost, same with rotards in Salem and the famous pineapple racing. None of which you will find on the club either.
Sorry for the drama, it comes with building cars for a certain group of people at times.

I'm still awaiting Jared to show the motor was bad. He left it outside, exposed for a year.....

I've built cars for ten years, hundreds. Out of all the builds, all the years he is the only one to not start one of my motors.

Compare my fc to his, funny I had no problems and never do.

This is old, clearly this site is as dead as the rx7club. I'll let you two be the only two. ;)

This is what I build.... Funny jareds fc is not on par...... No spraypainted interior parts, I actually tried...... I did not have a non rotary mechanic install and tell me to give up...... Mostly I did not bitch about free external parts.

Main problem is this: Jared claims the motor is blown. I said it's hardened lube from him allowing it to sit exposed in the weather for a year. I told him to add heat in exhaust before install to free up the lube in the 10 degree weather..... He put a space heater next to the car after he installs it...... That's his intelligence level... I was not able to help him after he refused to listen and would not be willing to show it's internals. It's been a year and he still has not followed through with showing the teardown he promised..... He just made a video to spam the clubs. Nothing more.

Hmm... i find it interesting that you're calling him a troll, yet a very large percentage of your posts could easily be reported as spam.

If he is a troll than why does he have a single username, yet you have (at least) three?

There was a gentlemen in the mid eightys who built a awd rotary with Audi parts. Crazy Australian. Lol. However thats it. So this will be a unique build to say the least.

I followed the Subaru Ej install on the Fb but it was never finished and went rwd. So I'm kinda fabricating it on my own lol

Actually the guy I think you're referring to is a New Zealander, Rod Millen. He was a successful pro rally & hill climb driver from the late 70's thru early 90's, who campaigned a number of Mazda's that included RX3's, AWD first-gen RX7's, 323's and this 20B powered FC you see being restored in this linked Speedhunter article, before he started racing for Toyota.

Yep it was Rod Millen. I saw him compete in the 100 acre woods in Missouri when I was in
college as a corner worker for the rally. He was driving a AWD FB at the time. I
have some old photos laying about somewhere.

I would love to see those if you find them! Inspiring stuff that is! It will be so weird to feel a fd pulling like it will.

I thought Rod's cars were still rotary though. At least the FC he raced on Pikes Peak, right?

Yup, the Pike's peak FC and all the previous RX7's and RX3's he raced were all rotary, but he also ran with an AWD turbo Mazda 323 (4-banger). In the early '90s he parted ways with Mazda and started racing Toyota's.

All true!

Update.

Subarus obtained, one I decided to keep. Super clean rhd legacy gt. The sti was torn down and the Rew will be out next week when I have more room in the shop lol
