Edit: Kevin reminded me of the names. Luke and Leah's 87 TII
Forgive me for not remembering the guys name but he is wearing the white T-shirt in the photo below and ironically that is my GF and I circling the car.
To the owner of this early 87 red TII, you get my support! This is one beautiful 2nd gen and a great example of one at that! He said this car was purchased from the original owner last year, from a lady that never drove it due to having access to a company vehicle leaving this mint 7 with a minimal 40,000 miles on it.

Luke and Leah.

co-signed.
They were also very, very nice people (they put up with MY awkward sense of humor off the bat) and were in our dragon caravan to boot :D
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND
they are named after two legendary characters from an old movie that I love so much :suspect:

I nominate Mel's T2 1st gen and Boss lady's RX-8.... Because they are females that would embarrass a lot of guys here in their driving abilities at the dragon.

This probably wont go over well, cause its not a rotary but.......
I have never seen a 1st gen piston conversion that I had a bit of respect for until the silver 1st gen wih the lexus twin turbo V8. The workmanship was amazing, it looked OEM!!!!
I know the is the Rotary Car Club, so there will be haters, (and rotaries are still my favorite) but this car deserves some attention, so I am nominating him.
Sorry, cant remember his name, cool guy though.
Will post a pic when I can find it.

Must have been some good stuff....i was there for 3 days in and out and for the whole car show....:troll:
and i might have pulled out of the car-show and proceeded somewhat sideways towards the direction of the skyway.....probably angering the canadians in the blue 3 rotor FD...sorry...:coolgleamA:

Thank You FC Zach and RedR1.
I got more complements than I think I ever have with any of my rotaries.
I thank everyone for their nice compliments!
Oh, and the force was strong to bring Leah and I back together again. And Chewy got out of the cabin while at Nantahala. We might be on
a show of "Finding bigfoot" on Animal Planet Again...

here is a few shots of mine, but honestly, I am for the T2 as well, car is super clean and well kept.
plus...I have been labeled a traitor by the banquet crowd upon receiving the v8 award...no need to pour gas on the fire :troll:

Yes!, you're a filthy traitor. :biggrinjester:
The Beast may not please everyone, but it's impressive as hell. Very nice job. Anyone that puts in that kind of effort and gets your results is worthy of recognition. We're not Ferrari type guys here, even if we give the engine swap folks a hard time.
(I think all of us have reached the point that we contemplated the ultimate sin at one time or another.)
Only wish I could have seen it.

not sure how you missed it unless you didnt get to go...i was at the NV in and around all weekend.
as for the red T2, that was a nice car, there was also another T2 that caught my eye, it was black and for the most part unmolested and very clean, this coming from a guy that doesnt really like gen2 all that much, those 2 were super nice and a welcome sight for me, since so many gen2 fall victim to very poor ownership and shotty mods, around here at least..its very sad.
dunno why no one seems to be voting the PC up, it is a pretty tough choice given the crowd that shows up to that event. every rx car has its own character to it, and in it...:biggrinjester:
so....screw it im going back to my original vote, all gen1s win!! :troll:

Didn't make it, had problems crop up at the last second. :(
Others from the 417 crowd were pretty impressed with it, some didn't like it, but were impressed nonetheless. If they're still talking about it when they get home you did something right.

Thanks - the black T2 you described sounds a lot like mine, does this look familiar?

There was another clean black S5 T2 that was tastefully modified, looked very similar to mine but with aftermarket wheels. Also had MD plates, but I didn't get a chance to meet the owner.
BTW 85turbo12a, I thought your Lexus V8 powered 1st gen was awesome! It gets my vote for its uniqueness and quality of construction - looks as if it could have came that way from the factory. Very fine work there, you must have some engineering & fabrication skills.
