Nah, not this year Brian.... turbo puked and I sold the mani/DP/WG.... there's just too much to do in a short period of time and I don't want to stress it. I'd want to pull the motor to redo the wiring and WM install, build a few tanks, paint the bumper and fenders, get the wheels redone, buy a turbo, build a man, DP and full exhaust etc etc etc..... Plus if the woman comes this year, which she should, the 8 will be alot more comfortable for us on the 12 hr drive from PA.... soooo yeah... I think I just take it easy this year

Mouse nest bitch.... can't say rats nest because that would imply bad wiring.... she's nestled in barn hibernating.

I'll be bringing the RX-8 again this year. Sorry no Cosmo. Nobody wants to tackle repairing the nasty rust in the front frame rails, and I have no ETA on when my other one will be brought down here.
Oh well. Comfy seats and A/C will have to do.

Hey, DJ, we should park together at the dam and drive the ladies bonkers! I get more female compliments on that color. I was the only Phantom Blue in
'09 and '10, I think; There was a tricked-out one there in '11, and I missed 2012.

All sins forgiven, DJ. Besides, I'm staying off property at a single cabin on 18 acres a mile from Nantahala, so y'all cain't git me thar! There's at least one more Phantom Blue coming this year, guy on RX8club.com just PMed me, he's from High Point, NC. Don't know if he's on here or not. We need to take a Phantom Blue group pic!

Never doubted it, Zach. Your forum name is interesting - My nephew Zach has my old FC - he rode with me to DGRR 2010. I keep hoping he'll get his roadworthy so he can bring it, but not yet.

Hope so, working hard at it. Keep running into snags and the weather isn't cooperating worth a darn. I may have to be content with only getting the rear suspension done for this year's DGRR though. :( It would look awfully strange, but at least I'd be there.

I'm bringing the 20b again. I think this is the 4th year for this setup. I just bought my son an FD also and hopefully he'll be able to bring it as well. I just popped the engine in it for him. We just pulled the engine last weekend and plans are for it to be ready. I'm a little nervous about him driving it to the gap though. Somebody will be in the car with him if he drives his car. He is super pumped like I am.

What the heck! My SE has the dowel pin leak going on, but I just keep topping it off until I can rebuild. Keeps the rust away, don'cha know...
I'll be sad that we are missing a first gen :-(

12A housings are too hard to get to risk an O ring failure especially that far from home. Hopefully it will go into surgery after DGRR :dunno:

What! No first gen :( Oh well it means half the driving time for you all since you are
only bringing one car. Half the gas too!
The OGTAs are in a cabin up the hill from the resort. Make sure you drop by.

Yeah, tell me about it - I've had to live with Sheryl's sad face. :uhh: She's threatening that if she has to drive the FD too much, she may get used to it and I may not get it back. We'll get the 82 back on the road soon, and hopefully before B3R.
We're across the highway and up the hill - we'll look you up.

P.S.
WE were almost going to be rolling in a Sheryl's sbuie due to a blown turbo in mine that was wound late.:(
But a turbo is quicker to change than a motor pull and rework and Sheryl said we would be in a 7

Thats what I meant to say, we may be neighbors then! Cool!
Heres our directions to the cabin:
Immediately across the street from the Nantahala Village is a visitor’s center and a road marked “Biltmore Circle” – Go up
this road. Go 2/10 mile on a level road and then the road turns left and heads uphill. Go another 2/10 to split in the road and
go uphill to the right on Smoky View Drive. Take a sharp right curve and pass cabin #120. Pass cabin #130 where the
garage hangs out almost over the road. Keep going then see the Speed Limit 15 sign and take SHARP LEFT – the road
turns to gravel. Pass cabin #160 on your left then find Nyrapacha on the left near the end of the road.
