Well, Chip Motorsport is going to replicate this rack and we are looking for 10 to sign up for this. If you are interested, please post here..
Price will be around $950-1000 per rack...

should be made of similar or same material.. same 2.4 turn vs. stock 3 turn.
Cost will be around 950-1000.
And since made in USA, we are supporting OUR country vs. some other country :) GO USA!!!

What all would need to be done to make the conversion?

Let front sway bar hang from end links, remove old rack - power steering pump - cooler line, swap end links to new rack, measure old and new rack on floor to adjust tie rods, install new rack and reinstall sway bar. If keeping a/c, find a new shorter belt - I had to use a belt that's one rib short. Next get a four-wheel alignment. Simple install, no need to drop sub-frame or lift motor.

I'm very interested in one of these racks as well.. question is, how much "effort" is there turning one of these manual racks as compared to having powersteering. I obviously know not as easy to turn but this car will see moderate street use so I'd like to have an idea of how much effort there is to turn it.
