Welcome! I'm don't know if there is a list of reliability mods on this forum, but they are probably here somewhere. If not, we can help you out.

Yeah! i found it somewhere else... I'm gonna start replacing the AST and installing gauges... (boost, oil press, oil temp and water temp) now my problem is that I don't know what could be the best place to install the sensors for the oil gauge and where to install the water temp gauge... I was planing to use a oil filter adapter to install the oil gauge senders but I've read that is not a good idea due to it leaks... so if there is any suggestion or any advise about where to install the senders I'll appreciate :P

Another reliability mod is replacing the downpipe (getting rid of the pre-cat) and possibly even the other stock cat, replacing it with a high flow cat or a resonated midpipe, or even a straight through midpipe if you want it to be ridiculously loud like mine was HAHA.

For the oil temp and pressure senders, I got the RE Speed filter mount. It has two ports for the senders and I've never had a problem with it, works great. The water temp sender I currently have mounted in a hose going from the top rear plate of the engine to the water filler neck, using a t-fitting I made from Home Depot parts haha. Normally that hose goes from the rear of the engine to the back of the throttle body, then it goes from the bottom of the throttle body to the filler neck. I might move it because I've been having problems with my gauge reading the temp correctly, but my old gauge was fine so I'm not sure what's up.

HI! thx for replying... I have a JDM RHD rx7... so, I've read that JDM rx7's does not need to replace the Downpipe...

I was thinking on use too a sandwich.. to fit the senders... but i found some info saying that with time that location tends to leak...

I think I'm gonna start a threat asking for suggestion tips pros/cons to install the oil senders

thx!

This is the one I have, it replaces the stock on and so far I've had no problems with it. I don't know anything about the JDM downpipe, you're probably right.

Got any pics of your car?
