Hey everyone! I'm Matt Trebacz aka Spaz, I'm currently 30 and I've been obsessed with the Rx7 since I was 12. My father has been running his own automotive shop for most of my life so I was always around some really amazing & rare vehicles. I can recall falling in love with the 1993 Rx7 when it came out & knowing one day, it would be mine!! At the risk of making my introduction extremely long... a lot can happen in 30 years haha!!
After having my first car, a 1990 integra totalled in 2003, I saved up for a new ride.. On that day in July of 2003 I drove to a car lot in my dad's loaner Geo metro wagon & there it was.. Still in pristine condition sat a 1987 Rx7 na completely stock. I invested probably around 10k into that car before it's demise in January 2006! I was at the time working two jobs since I was trying to pay off my 1993 Rx7 I found in September of 2005. When I lost my fc I knew I needed another haha. On July 7th of 2006 I drove to Nashville to pick up my 1991 Rx7 non turbo.
In 2006 I got beyond screwed when I let a shop in St. Louis called Street Speed handle my FD engine rebuild... I started reading up on the forums how to fix things myself, since I had a low post count no one would really answer anything if had already been asked before, so I was usually ignored on the rx7club. Not a big deal since I'm used to figuring things out. I managed to get my Fd running every once in awhile but now seems to have lost compression. I'm planning on doing the rebuild myself this time around so I have only me to blame.
Currently, I'm working on a Turbo II swap into my Fc & still in need of an ecu. I'm also rebuilding a couple Na 13b's in my spare time, always working always learning, doing whatever it takes to become a rotary master!!
Time to make some $$!!
