If you can drive it for a couple of hours, come on up for the race this Sunday. I'm not really an "expert", but I tend to get by okay. :) So far we've got about 9 rotaries lined up to be there...

I've got a Holley 650 DP on top and just don't like the motor turning over the numerous times it takes to start the car. I want it set just right for the one MAYBE two crank overs on initial start. The other problem is with the secondaries not kicking when giving it open throttle......you get the slight hesitation or bucking effect.
Btw,the motor is Bridgported.

What do you have for ignition? If stock, then a stronger spark would be a step in the right direction.

Not stock......the car has 2 MSD 6A ignition boxes, 2 MSD coils & matching wires.

Hmm, then I guess you're back to looking at the carb, or maybe ignition timing, or compression...

Yeah...I'm thinking a combo of timing & carb jetting will sort out the bug.

R u running a stock motor or rebuilt motor? The reason why i ask is because if it a rebuilt motor and u use after market apex seal spring that can cause what u are describing when ur trying to start. I have a great carb tuner he's coming in to Chicago at the end of July maybe he can check it out for u.
