Glad I'm not the only one to find this odd for a first post LOL.

I also find it odd even for a spammer though. What is the point?

Yes to all of the above.... And I had the ORIGINAL Rock em Sock em robots, where all the KO noises made were purely mechanical - no electronic sound effects like the ones my kids had!

lets just say that when i started driving, gas was like .68/gal. and my first video game console as a kid was the atari 2600.

a quick search revealed this site on current values:

I never had a video game console, but I do recall waiting in LOOOONG lines during the 1st gas crisis (Carter administration) to buy some of that $0.68 per gallon gas!

Yes, and I spent it outside crushing the neighborhood kids at street hockey. Then I turned 13 and bought a boat and my summers were spent as the neighborhood pimp/whore

What about the Nixon impeachment?

Or the evening TV news coverage of Vietnam?

Buying cigs for 50 cent a pack.

Yes again to all of the above. That last one had me LMAO.... I'm a non-smoker, but back in those days in Brooklyn NY where I grew up, my dad & mom would often send me to the stores up the street to buy stuff for them and cigs & beer were on the shopping list. I was maybe 9~12 years old, and the corner store guy would sell me whatever I asked for without question. Sad but you can't send your kid to do that anymore in today's "gov't knows best" nanny welfare state!

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. How about being able to buy high performance muscle cars for a couple hundred bucks? And being able to actually afford the gas to drive it. So much fun when you put your foot to the floor, you could actually watch the gas gauge creep it's way down.

I picked up a 1968 GT fastback 390 4spd Mustang in 1976 for $400.00 (Steve McQueen, Bullit look-a like). Put sparkplugs in it and it ran great. I could usually make it to the next gas station.
