A buddy and I are in the process of getting his 84 GSL-SE back onto the road, and among the numerous items on the to do list we will be pulling most, if not all, of the emissions equipment.

After much searching I have yet to find anyone that has posted an emissions removal guide for the fuel injected 13B in the GSL-SE. Ive already done a similar removal on my FC, and figured this would be about as easy. However, after reviewing the vacuum diagram, i'm having a hard time figuring out how to reroute the essential things, IE the two nipples coming off of the distributer, and possibly keeping just the BAC valve.

Any input/help would be appreciated.

And for those wondering what I mean by 13B RE-EGI here is a picture of the project about a week before we got her running again, all vacuum lines still attached and intact and nothing removed...yet.

(yes the alternator is removed, was replaced with a S4 alternator since the S3 alt was trash.)

As far as the distributor connections, those two just need vaccum from the intake. Therefore, those vacuum advances can allow your leading and trialing timing to be correct. There's ways around it also, but that's much more in depth. If the car is mostly stock, then leave the vacuum connections for simplicity. Hope that helps a little.

Its not cearly as clear cut as a carbed 12a and I dont really think there is much to gain from removing SE emmissions from what I've read. It may simplify things slightly but most of it is required for the engine to cold/hot start and idle properly. I looked into it for a while but eventually decided to just replace all my vac tubing with fresh so I dont have any leaks.
