When people hear about GOOPY APEX SEALS from GOOPY PERFORMANCE for
the first time and learn how long they have been in use the typical
comment is "I have never heard of them ... where have you been?" And
our reply is consistently, "that has been by design! We have been

There were several goals that drove the development and the product
direction of our GOOPY APEX SEALS. Among other things those goals
were ...
1. Provide a family of apex seals that will work with EVERY 12A,
13B and RENESIS ENGINE
2. Provide apex seals that we believe provide equal to or
superior overall performance in ALL OF THE MOTOR SPORTS ARENAS from
the drag strip, to circuit, drift and time attack, to hill climb and
rally and to high performance street use, etc.
3. Provide apex seal characteristics that are equal to or
superior to any other seal in every measurable area
a. BREAK-IN - rapid and effective mating and break-in with both
new, GOOPY PERFORMANCE REFURBISHED and used housings
b. COMPRESSION SEALING - in most cases contribute to generating
compression numbers superior to other seals when used in the same
conditions
c. Perform well with NA, NOS and TURBO & virtually any fuel type
d. Handle huge amounts of HORSEPOWER ... and change the dynamic of
the apex seal being the "weak link" or the "achilles tendon" of the
rotary engine
e. Provide an increased MARGIN OF ERROR for mis-tuning or other
system failures that would lead to a blown engine with most other seals
f. Excellent THERMAL PROPERTIES
g. Superior IMPACT STRENGTH so as to handle the extreme loads of
major detinations. Anything can and will break or "bend" ...
however, it is the experience of our customers that GOOPY APEX SEALS

i. LONG TERM USE / high mileage ... we have extremely HIGH
HORSEPOWER drag racers that have gone an entire season (40-50+
passes) without their GOOPY APEX SEALS failing and / or causing any
damage or excessive wear to their housings
j. Provide an apex seal solution that will cost effectively allow
rotary enthusiasts with DAMAGED ROTORS to get back to factory
specifications without changing their seal size (from 2mm to 3mm) and
incurring the time, risk and expense of having their rotor slots
machined to this larger size and arguably sacrificing performance
when moving to the thicker seals. Our OVERSIZED GOOPY APEX SEALS
