The illumination on my logicon is only partial - the lower half (fan speed & temp sliders) lights up properly, but the upper part (icons by the buttons) stay dark. Otherwise all other logicon functions work fine.

I'm assuming there are 2 bulbs in there, one for each section, and my upper one is burnt out. Does anyone know if: (1) This assumption is correct?, and (2) If the bulbs can be accessed & replaced WITHOUT having to disconnect the logicon from that one PITA connector that snakes into the bowels of the dash? In other words, pull the logicon out of the dash, but not fully yank it from the car.

Yes your assumption is correct and yes you can replace the two bulbs without removing the whole unit. It is going to be a PITA either way. I have done it before and unfortunately I have to do it once again.

Thanks Zach. Sounds like a lesser of two PITAs though; that one logicon connector requires tiny monkey fingers to get to, unplug & reconnect!

So true!
