Having trouble trying to figure this out, i've tested for power where the ecu plugs into the rest of the car's harness, it has power there, there is no humming from the BAC though and no power to the fuel pump, i'm not sure if maybe it's a grounding issue, but the main engine harness ground is bolted down.

i've tried changing out the ecu and it didnt change anything.

The car is an 87 gxl, i swapped the harness from an 86 base (both low impedance injector cars) into it since the original harness was damaged, i thought there was no real difference between the two but maybe i was wrong, the only other thing i can think is that maybe the ground ring terminal went bad, but i came here for any more suggestions.

Isn't the fuel pump wiring (relay and resistor box) on the body harness? What happenes when you jumper the yellow connector on the passenger shock tower and turn the key to the ON position?

*Just so it gets said* The fuel pump doesn't run until the car is cranking (unless you jumper the connector)

Fuel pump power goes from battery to fuse block under hood to main relay...
Yes, it goes through the other harness, and it has nothing to do with the engine harness, EXCEPT...

All Zenki FC's run a fuel pump cut out switch inside the AFM.
There's a jumper that normal sits right about the passenger side shock tower.
Easy way to test is to jump that plug.

It's in the FSM.

Or, you could be like me and not have one of the two body plugs from the harness (up under the dash against the passenger side) plugged in all the way.

Ask me how I know....

that jumper on the shock tower does nothing, tried that first, lol.
