Am planning a clutch swap this weekend in my '91 S5 Tii and tonight was just making sure I had everything. Clutch: check, lightened flywheel: check, bearings: check. Then I realise that lightened flywheels need a counterweight for the flywheel. Remembered that the previous owner of the car said his butt dyno and knowledge of having a few FCs before said that there could very well be a lightened flywheel in there, but he couldn't say for sure as it would have been put there by the previous owner.

I dropped under the car, whipped off the inspection plate and took a pic. I've no real idea what I'm looking for, but you can see the flywheel in it. Apologies if this is a dumb question but does it look like a stock or aftermarket flywheel to you? If I need to clean it all up, let me know.

Cheers in advance

Damn you both and your bad news! ;) Looks like a desperate search for a counterweight in the next 48 hours then. Think this has been discussed before, but an FD counterweight will work with an S5 Tii, won't it?

While you are down there, fix that oil leak as well. Nasty.

Yep, I have to agree that it's stock.

That is correct.
The rotors are the same weights and counterweights are interchangable.
