im looking to replace my pads for the first time and in looking around i have decided to go with Hawk hps pads or Axxis ULT pads. anyone who has used these, can you tell me the ones with least fade and dust. i will prob not track the car.
Also as far as the ss brake line kits out there is there a particular brand that is better than the other and also is there any fitting probs. also do they just screw in to stock lines or do you have to get them fitted?

I've used the HPS pads, good feel and pretty low dust. The SS brake line kits are pretty much bolt right up if you buy a kit made for your car. Make sure you bleed the brakes starting with the farthest from the ABS unit working your way to the closest.

I know I have an FC, but the systems are very very close and I just got the kit from Mazdatrix for 80 or 90 bucks. Took me about an hour or so to switch the lines over. Got Hawk HPS pads and cquence cross dimpled and sloted rotors. The difference is huge, I love it. Also the HPS are not to bad on dust. I have the vert bbs wheels and so far seems like less dust than the other pads that I had on there.

I'd try the HPS also. I tried the Axxis Ultimates on my FD with the 99 spec brakes and they dusted more than I thought they would. Performance was OK but not spectacular.
I'm using the HPS now with the Racing Brake BBK setup and they seem to dust less. Performance doesn't compare directly since my current setup is different but I reallly like the feel of the Hawk HPS with the current brake setup.
