1979 Aussie Delivered Mazda RX-7 S1 - Location: Adelaide, Australia
Q: Congratulations to FIBREMAZ 13 BEEF / Alexis on winning Rotary Car Club's June 2010 Ride of the Month! Tell us about how you acquired this car?
A: I bought this car from a lawyer approimately 9 years ago in bone stock form
Q: Favorite stretch of road to drive your car on (location)?
A: Adelaide Hills (South Australia) plenty of twists and turns
Q: Whats the biggest reason you chose a rotary powered car to modify?
A: I was born into a Mazda family with both of my parents having owned Mazda's since the late 70's. My old man had an S1 Rx7 when I was young and that got me hooked
Q: What are the future plans on this car?
A: Not too much, perhaps repaint the enging bay at some stage
Q: What was the worst and best memory of this project?
A: Probably the 1st time I heard my car with my 1st PP 13b motor start up for best. Worst would be losing a wheel
Q: Any other hobbies besides cars?
A: Carbon Fibre, Technology in general
Q: Anyone you'd like to thank?
A: Boostworx, Mildren Race Engineering and my mate Ralston who is a wealth of knowledge and a highly skilled individual.
Q: Anything in the pipeline for another ROTM win?
A: Maybe my 1968 1500 Estate once it's sorted and had front end rapinted
