View Full Version : weber set-up
Hi there! This is my first post on here. I've got a an issue that I'm hoping somebody can point me in the right direction.
I've got a street ported 12A that's well broken in with about 8K in the rebuild. What I'm looking for is a complete set of numbers (including air jets, fuel jets, pump jet, emulsion tube etc...) for what I should start with as a baseline for the weber. From there, I can begin to tweak the carb as needed as I have access to all the jets etc that I would need.
Hope you can help.

Racing Beat has a pdf that outlines most everything here: https://www.racingbeat.com/PDF/webercomponents.pdf
That's what I was trying to go by. But it doesn't give all the numbers. They have nothing about what the idle jet or the pump jet should be. My issue is that things may have been changed on my carb that I bought (mocked up but never actually used). For example, my main circuit was using two air corrector jets - top and bottom, instead of air on top and fuel on bottom. I need to see what the carb was set for when Racing Beat gets a hold of it.

The setting list that RB gives you has all of the crucial jet settings that you need. Idle jets aren't really important. They can be compensated for untill you figure out what jets you need to run. As for the pump jets, if the car isn't leaning out right away when you stand on it what you have is fine. I'll talk to ya tonight when I stop by.

I've noticed some pretty wide variation on what people run for idle jets and pump jets. I'd try 60 idle jets with 100 holders (if you can find 'em), that should at least allow it to fire up and run. Pump jets... there are too many variables. Note what you have and try it, see how it runs.
