Just got back into the rotary world. Purchased a 89 GTU from a friend that I found the car for 11 years ago. Since that time he has gone through and updated the suspension and had an IT (Improved Touring) engine installed by ISC. The car has been autocrossed and done track day events and that's the same reason I went in with a friend and bought it for. Previously, I have had a 73 RX3 that I autocrossed and then turned into a ITA Road Racer. After selling that, I purchased a 85 RX7 GSL-SE that I had always wanted, but didn't really like after I had purchased it. My other Mazda's are a 2010 Mazda3 sport hatchback, wife's car and my DD is a 99 Miata w. Flyin Miata stage 2 suspension. Needless to say, I like cars that handle well!:driving:

IT or Improved Touring is a racing class in the SCCA (Sports Car Club Of America) The RX-7 is a very popular car in the ITS class. The engines are built for endurance w/upgraded cooling and better apex seals along with little things that make more power. Hope this helps. Garry
