To fix up that loose SA mirror just take a look at the back of the stem holding the mirror.
See that little knob there? Take a small length of vacuum tubing and put it between that little knob and the windshield, problem solved. SAs have a small rubber piece that looked pretty much like vacuum tubing there to stabilize the mirror when new. If you look real close you can see it in pics. Once you do this it will be rock solid.
