What most of us do is install a fuel pump cut-out switch.
Once the engine floods, kill the switch. Crank engine over for a few seconds. Turn on switch to turn on fuel pump. Viola, engine fires as if nothing happened. Cheap, simple solution for a big headache... -Ted
