I do not know if there is any interest for this so I will ask. As you may know the big brake kits do not generally fit the 99 OEM wheels. I have been working with Daryl Armstrong at Revolution Brake LLC, 130 A Street
Ashland OR 97520 V. 541 488 5638 www.revolutionbrake.com on a special Kit. This is not a hack job but an OEM looking system with a neat and clean install. We have just completed the fronts. It even has a standard to metric conversion hard lines Doc |

Take a look at this! These are the bottom braces for the 7 but look close there is a modified Banzai brace that works with a Auto Exec brace set. Here is a picture of the cap and yes two piece.

Revolution Brake used to be Precision Brake.
For my experiences with installing their FD Wilwood big brake kit: Precision Brakes Wilwood BBK Experience This is nice hardware, and the brakes work well. Customer service was another matter. You may want to ask very detailed questions before committing. |

I have been working with Daryl. I contacted them because I wanted a big brake kit that would work with OEM 99 wheels. The large offset precludes most brake kits. If you use spacers or different wheels you are more than likely good to go.
I do not know how well they work. My car is on jack stands, its favorite place in the world. I put in poly motor mounts, aluminium drive shaft, brake kit and fender braces and oh yea mazdaspeed springs.....Ramy where are my springs??????????????? The kit came with steel braided lines....I choose not to use and custom spacers and brackets. It was always assumed that we might have to send parts back and forth to get it right but as it has turned out not the case here I have nothing but good things to say about Daryl. He has been the man. Easy to work with and always gets back to me Questions....Comments....rocks..... Okay a little technical here. The pads MUST be within <1 mm of being centered on the rotor. Please note that I could have shaved the spacers supplied with my lath but choose not to...lazy. I would always suggest that anyone putting on a aftermarket brake kit do a fit check to make sure of this. I had to make 4 shims to achieve this on the kit. I choose to mod the OEM braket and hard line to the steal brake lines. I liked the fact that they are supported midway on the schock. I used an after market set of lines not what was provided in the kit. See pictures of my endevors. |

I talked with Daryl a bit too about this kit but ultimately went with another kit with 6 piston wilwood calipers. I didnt have to contend with 99 wheels though. This kit is a great deal though for what you get even with 1PC rotors.
