Northern VA Meets

Just wanted to see if anybody on this forum participates in the meetups in Dulles, VA every Friday? It was started by a group of older guys with classic muscle and then slowly it grew into an "all make & model" gathering. I've seen a few decent cars out there, but you do get a fair helping of idiots too. All in all, if your in the MD/DC/VA area - it's worth the drive up and hang out.

They'll probably really start picking up going into May when the weather breaks...

Absolutely. My mother works in Cville and I'm from Culpeper originally... so its not a big deal to jump down there. We're planning a skyline drive run in late May if you and your group is interested?

Will do.

Right now the plan is to start in Front Royal at the northern entrance to Skyline drive and make our way down to waynesboro/cville and have a dinner meet.

Its going to be all mazdas - not just rotary as some of our friends drive miatas and 3s and such.

Sounds interesting, we could head up the Parkway and meet you guys in C'Ville. One of our other tentative date times is July 12th or 19th.

Wish me luck, I'm headed out to Knoxville, TN tomorrow morning to pick up a red '88 convertible. I may use it for parts in repairing the black one but it's in pretty good shape so I may just fix up both!

Sweet deal. I would like to get a vert at some point, but that'll have to wait for now.

It's looking like we're going to be pushing June now for the drive. Other events got in the way and of course Memorial Day everybody has plans.

We'll firm something up though as soon as we can.

Post some pics up of that vert when you get it!
