Antenna and odd exhaust smell

I know RCC is missing a lot of people but hopping to get some ideas here


I've been helping a friend with his FD. We are doing a full rats nest, rebuilt harness, gauges and basic clean up. Last night we ran across a few things i'm not sure about. First off we pulled the stereo to help with a Defi Din install and found this. I'm not sure how to fix the antenna.


For reference this is how they had the stereo antenna hooked up

They then grounded it here



Onto the exhaust smell. Once the car gets up to operating temp there is a "burnt popcorn" smell coming from the back of the car. I was hopping we could pull the cat and find something in there but couldn't find anything definitive. The only other thing i can think of is the copious amounts of gasket sealer on the exhaust gasket from DP to cat?



Any ideas would help greatly.
